My name is Stefanie Quiroga Gil, and I am the proud founder of Paws & Claws Pet Sitting LLC. With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Nurse, caring for animals has always been more than a career—it’s my true calling.

Throughout my veterinary background, I’ve worked with pets of all kinds and in every situation, from playful puppies to senior pets requiring specialized medical care. This extensive experience allows me to provide not only love and attention, but also the knowledge and confidence to care for pets with unique needs, including those requiring medications or special accommodations.

In addition to pet sitting, dog walking, boarding, and daycare, I also offer medical house call services for pets who need extra support in the comfort of their own home. These include nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expressions, subcutaneous fluid administration, and more—always performed with patience, gentleness, and professional skill.

I’m also proud to work alongside a dedicated team who shares my passion for animals. Together, we provide reliable, compassionate, and professional care that ensures every pet receives the love and attention they deserve.

I created Paws & Claws Pet Sitting LLC to give families “Peace of mind when you need it most!” Whether you’re away at work, traveling, or simply need trusted support, I want every client to feel assured that their beloved pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for like our very own.

Q: How do I sign up for services?

Q: When are you available?
A: Paws & Claws Pet Sitting LLC is available 365 days a year, rain or shine—except in the event of major weather emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. Please note: Holiday services incur a 50% additional fee. View our holiday list Here.
Q: What areas do you serve?
A: We proudly serve Long Island, NY. If you’re unsure whether we cover your location, reach out and we’ll be happy to check.
Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for holidays and weekends. However, we’ll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.
Q: Do you require a Meet & Greet before services?
A: Absolutely. Meet & Greets are required before starting any new services, Paws & Claws Pet Sitting LLC requires a Meet & Greet with you and your pets before scheduling any service. This helps us ensure the best possible care for your animals and a great fit for both sides.
Q: What happens during the Meet & Greet?
A: During the Meet & Greet, We’ll come to your home to meet you and your pets.
  • We will review your pet’s daily routine, health needs, personality, and preferences.
  • Collect necessary paperwork and veterinary records.
  • Answer any questions you may have.
This meeting helps us build trust with your pets and ensures you're completely comfortable with the CEO, Stefanie and the Paws & Claws team before any services begin.
Q: Do you walk multiple dogs at once?
A:Only if they’re from the same household. We believe in personalized, focused care, and do not walk dogs from different homes together.
Q: Do I need to fill out any forms before getting started?
A: Yes! Before we can schedule any services, we kindly ask all new clients to complete our Questionnaire. Once submitted, the form is sent directly to our team for review. After we’ve looked it over, we’ll reach out to schedule your Meet & Greet and officially get you on our calendar!
Q: Do you provide updates during visits?
A: Yes! We have a group chat to communicate and provide report cards, notes, photos, and videos.
Q: How will you enter my home?
A:We use your preferred secure method either a garage code, a key stored in a lockbox at your home, or a keyless entry system
Q: What is a lockbox?
A: A lockbox allows us to securely store your key on-site, they are available for purchase during your consultation if interested for $32.00.
Q: Will the same person always walk my dog?
A: We build a dedicated care team for your pet. While the same familiar faces will be caring for your fur baby, we can't guarantee the same exact person every visit. Each new team member is introduced by a senior staff member for a smooth transition.
Q: What’s your cancellation policy?
A: Cancellations made less than 72 hours* before your scheduled visit will be charged in full.
Q: What if I need a last-minute appointment?
A: We do our best to accommodate! Appointments requested within 48 hours are subject to a $10 rush fee. We always recommend booking in advance or using a recurring schedule for guaranteed service.
Q: Are you bonded and insured?
A:Yes! Paws & Claws Pet Sitting LLC is fully bonded and insured. Details available upon request.
Q: Is there a weekly minimum?
A: Nope! At Paws & Claws, you’re free to use our services as often or as little as you’d like. We have clients who use us multiple times daily and others only on special occasions.
Q: Are you available over the holidays?
A:Yes, we are here for you 24/7/365. Holidays book up fast—please notify us at least 8 weeks in advance. A 50% holiday fee applies to all services on major holidays.
Q: What happens in bad weather?
A:Rain or snow, we’re there!
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: At Paws & Claws Pet Sitting LLC, we accept Zelle, cash, or check as forms of payment.
Q: When is payment due?
A:To secure your booking, a 50% deposit is required at the time of scheduling. The remaining 50% balance is due before the start of your scheduled service.Same-day services will be charged at the time of booking. All payments are due prior to the start of services, unless other arrangements have been made.Please note: Services will not be confirmed until the deposit has been received.
Q: Can you take my dog to the dog park?
A:For safety and liability reasons, we do not offer dog park trips at this time
Q: Do you offer in-home overnight pet sitting?
A: Yes! At Paws & Claws Pet Sitting LLC, we offer overnight pet sitting to ensure your pets feel safe and comfortable in their own home while you're away. Our standard overnight visit lasts 12 hours, typically from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, depending on your pet’s needs and our availability. Let us know your pet’s routine, and we’ll match it as closely as possible!
Q: Are there extra fees for nights or weekends?
A:We do not charge extra for weekends. There is, however, a fee for holidays. Please see policies for our Holiday fees.
Q: What time will you arrive?
A:We use service windows to build a flexible but reliable schedule. Here's how it works:
  • For Dogs:

    • 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM
    • 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
    • 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
    • 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
    • 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
    • 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
    • 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
    • 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM

    For Cats & Non-Dog Pets:

    • Morning: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
    • Midday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    • Evening: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Guidelines for a smooth and safe experience for everyone.

At Paws & Claws Pet Sitting LLC we ask that all clients carefully review the following policies. These guidelines help ensure the safety, fairness, and smooth operation of our services for everyone involved—humans and animals alike.

Note: All policies are enforced at the discretion of Paws & Claws Pet Sitting LLC and may be updated as needed.

Zero Tolerance Harassment Policy

At Paws & Claws Pet Sitting LLC, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for both our clients and our team. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior directed toward our staff will not be tolerated.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Verbal abuse, threats, or aggressive language
  • Sexual comments or advances
  • Discriminatory remarks based on race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, etc.
  • Physical intimidation or unwanted contact

Our team members have the right to end any service or interaction if they feel unsafe or disrespected. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service in cases where this policy is violated. Questions or concerns? Contact us at pncsitting@gmail.com.

❌ Last-Minute Cancellation Policy

Any appointment(s) canceled within 72 hours of the scheduled time will be charged in full.

⏰ Late Appointment Booking Policy

Any service request made within 48 hours of the desired appointment time will incur a $10 last-minute booking fee.

📅 Weekend Fees

We’re happy to share that there are no additional fees for weekend visits! Weekend rates are the same as our weekday rates.

🎄 Holiday Surcharge Policy

We apply a 50% surcharge per visit for services scheduled on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Eve
  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • President’s Day
  • Easter Sunday
  • Memorial Day
  • Juneteenth
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day

🛡️ Bubble Policy

For the safety of your pets and our team, we do not engage with animals or humans outside of your household during walks or visits even if your pet is familiar with them. This ensures we maintain safe, consistent care in all environments.

📝 Scheduling Policy

To make, change, or cancel an appointment:

  • Please contact us directly via email, phone, or text (not through individual pet sitters).
  • We require a minimum 2-hour time window for all appointments due to scheduling logistics.
  • The most accurate ETA will be available on the morning of your appointment and is subject to change based on real-time adjustments.
  • Add-ons like feeding, medications, or litter changes must be added to your official schedule.

📞 Communication Policy

Clients are not permitted to contact staff members directly via personal phone, text, or social media.

All communication must go through:

  • Our office phone/email
  • Or directly through Stefanie (the CEO) or our management team.

This keeps everything clear, secure, and respectful for all parties.

💳 Deposit Policy

Due to high demand, we require a 50% deposit to confirm the following services:

Applies Year-Round:

  • Drop-in pet sitting visits
  • In-home overnight visits
  • Dog Boarding
  • Non-recurring services

Refunds & Cancellations:

  • Cancel 22+ days prior → Full deposit refunded
  • Cancel 21-14 days prior → $100 fee applied
  • Cancel 13-4 days prior → Deposit forfeited
  • Cancel 3-0 days prior → Entire balance due

Late Payment & Canceled Check

  • A finance charge of twenty (20%) percent monthly will be charged and added to any unpaid balances after thirty (30) days.
  • In the event that a check is returned to Pet Sitter for insufficient funds, pet Owner hereby agrees to pay total amount due and owing services, as well as an additional **$50.00 fee for the bounced check**, in cash or otherwise guaranteed funds.
